By means of roller brushers the citrus is conveyed
under a foam where, with the help of biodegradable detergent
and water, ensure disenfection of decaying or eventual
harvesting surface wounds. Between the applicator and
the rinsing hood is the washing and scrubbing area where
rotating brushers displaces excess of solution as well
any residual dirt. Then, the clean fruit moves forward
reaching the waxing section where a nozzle uniformly sprinkles
a water soluble wax. To fix the protective wax film, the
citrus is automatically conveyed to the section where
a gradual drying process takes place.
